Technologies of Romance is the name of my long-running undergraduate seminar at Central St Martins College (University of the Arts London) and recent book of the same name.

This title and theme  encourages students and readers to contextualise ‘new’ technologies in accordance with an unbroken history of technologies, and their significant influence on the development of art.

Here is a link to the book on the eeodo publisher’s) website.

I have hosted a version of the seminar at Goldsmiths College for MAFA students.

I also host (related) seminars at Chelsea college (UAL) on Uses of History in Contemporary ArtA World of Stories, and Walter Benjamin.

My PhD in History (2009), supervised by Howard Caygill at Goldsmiths College, is titled ‘A Hesitation of Things’ and investigates temporalities in art, writing, and history.
