‘Souvenirs’ is the title of a (2011) group show in which I featured two large scale digital prints, and another printed on steel. The show was perhaps my most successful and prestigious attempt to translate and transmit my ideas about art, photography, history and culture into the format of the gallery artist. This was also one of a series of generous exhibitions curated by Richard Ducker (as Fieldgate Gallery) and held at the equally generous Angus Hughes gallery. Richard and the gallery built up, at this time, a very effective form of milieu, which became one more victim of the pandemic and never seemed to recover. Nevertheless, I look back on this show with pride and satisfaction that it so accurately summarised my work at that time, again, thanks to the generosity and encouragement of Richard Ducker.
